Naked Faces, Natural Beauty

 These girls, whose ages range from mid-teens to twenty-something,all answered the call on social media when I needed girls who would be willing to get their photos taken with their faces 100% free of makeup.

It seems kind of nonsensical, doesn't it? Usually the whole point of getting your picture taken, specifically when you're acting as a model, is to get all glammed up and feel like a superstar, right? My goal with this photo session was to make these girls feel just as glamorous, but without the full face of makeup. I worried that there may be some anxiety, and self-consciousness that would come with that. The opposite turned out to be true! The girls all seemed relaxed, and like they genuinely had fun while I made them smile, pose with flowers, and stare at a reflective circle that made them feel momentarily blinded, and they all got along well with one another, despite having never met prior to this session.

I personally love me a good contour, and learning all sorts of ways to transform my face using makeup. Many ladies and gentlemen do. But I also wanted to explore the natural beauty of someone with a "naked face", because there is so much beauty already there to begin with! These lovely ladies prove that they can slay both ways, and I hope you who read this know that you do too.
